Law Cooperative’s attorneys develop deep relationships with client organizations, many times appearing to be seamlessly integrated with our clients’ business development, sales, legal, financial and technical teams. We work closely with these business counterparts in developing, structuring, negotiating and implementing commercial relationships involving intellectual property, recognizing the legal and business realities of specific transactions. Because no two transactions are identical, we leverage our experience, often assisting clients in overcoming both difficult legal and commercial issues, drawing from the wide variety of transactions on which we have worked.
We recognize that clients are looking for an attorney with significant transactional experience plus desire a consistent negotiating partner in connection with both complex transactions and day-to-day business needs. The attorney that you engage will serve this “outsourced general counsel” role and will be your primary contact throughout your relationship with Law Cooperative.
Our commitment is to offer all clients real-time, practical advice to address both their legal and business needs.
Intellectual Property Transactions
Law Cooperative works with private and public, domestic and international clients in connection with structuring, negotiating and implementing technology-based agreements, ranging from the every day business needs to “bet the company” transactions. We regularly represent both owners and licensees of intellectual property assets in seeking creative and practical ways to exploit intellectual property rights and maximize returns on investment. When properly structured, such transactions can be a win-win for both companies.
Through our experience, we have developed transactional expertise with a wide-range of technologies, including:
|
|
Transactions involving such technologies can be in the nature of common contracts to one-of-a-kind business agreements, including (to name a few):

Intellectual Property Counseling and Prosecution
In addition to working on specific transactions, Law Cooperative provides intellectual property counseling and prosecution assistance to clients in the fields of copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets and privacy/publicity rights, including the following:

|
Although Law Cooperative does not presently provide patent prosecution assistance to clients, we have an extensive network of “best of breed” patent attorneys and seek to match our clients’ needs with a patent attorney with direct experience with the relevant technology.
